“U. S. Immigration Discrimination for Same-Sex Families”
American gay men and lesbian women face U.S. immigration discrimination. We cannot sponsor our spouses for immigration to be in America with us. Judy Rickard knows this discrimination and has written a book about it – Torn Apart: United by Love, Divided by Law. Families with an American parent and a non-American parent are separated, leaving children without a mother or father. Couples are torn apart, separated for months or years at a time because of DOMA, Defense of Marriage Act. Judy works to educate, advocate and raise funds for the solution needed.
